Proportionally, Michaelangelo’s David has a tiny dick. Why is he held up as the paragon of male perfection in these novels? Edward kept getting compared to David, too, and I am still wondering how the Hell making out with a statue is sexy.

I think David’s appeal lies more in his manly musculature than in his tiny penis.

As for making out with a statue, I suggest you ask Pygmalion.
